First steps in Reflexology

Introduction

Reflexology is a wonderful therapy that is applied to the feet.  Other areas of the body can be treated with reflexology; hands, face and ears can also be treated but this course focuses upon Reflexology therapy to the feet.  When you have completed this course you will have a clear understanding of what Reflexology is.

Aims

The aim of this introductory course is to introduce the student to Reflexology and provides a brief and basic overview of this holistic therapy.  This introductory course is information and educational only and demonstrates two of several techniques used in treatment.   

 

Outcomes

Upon completion of this short, introductory course students will have a basic and broad understanding of Reflexology, they will know about two techniques used in treatment and will be able to practice this for themselves.

Progression

Upon completion of this course students may like to enrol onto the level 1 Reflexology for self-treatment course.  This is a level one course and builds upon the introductory first steps in Reflexology.  This course progresses the student learning, incorporates demonstration video of self-treatment which allows students to practice on them using the methods learned in the introductory course with some additional methods for self-treatment.

How this course is provided

This course comes to you in a voice over video, power point presentation style and a demonstration of the two techniques I most often use in treatment.  The recordings are short segments of learning and there is a pdf document if you wish to download and read along with the recordings.  These aim to support students whose first language is not English or those students who will benefit from this.
